JOAN TAYLOR is the author of books on ancient religion, history and archaeology. A New Zealander of Anglo-Danish heritage, she is Professor Emerita of Christian Origins and Second Temple Judaism at King's College London. As well as publishing in the field of her professional work in history, literature and archaeology she also writes fiction, narrative history and poetry.
